Installed Fedora 17 64bit in Dual Boot setup with Windows 8.

I tried Ubuntu (latest distro 64bit) in my latest build, a Quad core 3.6gz  AMD with 16gig memory and and a Geforce GT 640  with 2 gig (same system I am running Windows 8 pro).

I just couldn't get UBUNTU to work... It didnt handle the video card well at all (no drivers available apparently) and it kept crashing and locking up.

I wiped the drive that had Ubuntu on it,  Unplugged all the other HD drives and put in a fresh 500 gig drive and booted and installed Fedora 17 Using the entire drive.

After initial boot it needed to install 490 updates..

With the updates done Fedora boots into a full 1080p screen and looks and runs GREAT..

I've been Surfing the web all morning with it (Firefox in Fedora) and Im about to re-connect all the other Hard Drives and re-start in Windows 8 (choosing the boot disk from the computers boot menu instead of from a Linux loader).

Later today and tonight I will boot back into Fedora and find out just how much of my software will run in Fedora (with and without virtualization).
