Of course, one does have to accept that English is not every contributors first language, but I would estimate that a good deal more than 50% of replies to my posts indicate that they have completely misunderstood my meaning, even though I am ver particular with my use of words and punctuation to leave as little doubt as possible.

Indeed, it is worse when they imply that you have said something entirely different, whether by ignorance or design.

Your query about the degree of learning apparent in many is a primary reason why I worry that this new system will not work well. It can be difficult to accept a decision of one whose abilities we cannot assess, but if we are subject to one by a member we regard as a fool then it would be impossible to countenance.
