SZ-30MR - Plane Spotting

This is more than a week old, but only two days ago did I get round to do something with the photos. Sandra's brother was leaving the country in the afternoon, and he wanted plenty of spare time at the airport. This suited me fine. I spent NZ$ 36.- in parking fee for about six hours on the visitor gallery at Auckland International airport.

Sandra wanted me to get the B777 with the 'Hobbit' paint scheme. I got 'Crazy About Rugby' instead.

'Malayisia' in the background is the plane that Brian needed to catch.

He had more time than expected. The plane had arrived on time, but he left 1 hour and 18 minutes late.

Sometimes I did use the full zoom on the SZ-30MR, but that is when the most important implement is something to wipe the window with (I used my handkerchief, then washed it the same day). Kids do climb on the handrails, touch and breathe on the windows - and if they read the signs not to do so they will ignore them. So the kids (and some adults) leave optical imperfections on the glass.

I must remember to bring a damp sponge next time.
