I gave my vote to Oly, they are ahead now.

Of course people naturally vote for their own camera, so it's a bit of a popularity contest, and therefore meaningless. But I think the OM-D really deserves it. Nothing else has made such an impression this year. From a company on the brink of bankruptcy, to bring in a weather sealed m4/3 camera with new and genuinely good and useful innovations like 5-axis stabilisation and live bulb mode should really be applauded.

It's also the first m4/3 camera to not noticeably fall behind APSC competition on IQ for the pixel peepers.

D800 is a great camera, and overall will get a better result than the OM-D, but it's Nikon's flagship no-holds barred camera. It's also predictable and expected. People didn't expect the OM-D to be as good as it was/is and that's quite the achievement and why it should win camera of the year.

My second vote if I had one would go to the X Pro 1. Mostly because again it's from a smaller manufacturer who still manage to innovate and get a decent product out there. Only flaw (and it is a big one unfortunately) is the AF and possibly the reliability. Otherwise I would have considered it a lot more before choosing the E-M5 personally.
