sorry, i should have mentioned that i am scanning b&W 35mm negs from 1974. how do these settings look to you?
the problem is completely random, no pattern has emerged.
output settings:
printed size: 8 x20
auto file name checked
jpeg file checked
jpeg size reduction: 1
jpeg quality: 90
jpeg profile checked
log file checked
log file max size: 2
