Frames Per second and image stabilization.

On the Micro 4/3rd forum, I have been told that the e-pl5 cannot give the full 8-fps when the inbody image stabilization is on.  Are other cameras hampered from delivering their maximum fps by image stabilization?  I had the idea that using a Panasonic lens with optical IS might be a workaround but I am not sure.
