as I said, there really are no defining terms to this poll.  it is simply "Best of 2012."  best of what exactly?

the OM-D (with m43 lens collection) is the camera that made many people rethink their larger bodies and switch over to something smaller that can keep up with the big boys in any situation.  it has numerous features that make photography fun and effortless.

the D800 comes with a sensor 50% larger than the next DSLR competitor.  it encroaches on medium format territory.  as with the E-M5, there are former medium format users that switched over to the smaller D800.

anyways, all in good fun and it's amazing we have so many great choices to choose from this year.  really was a great year for cameras.  I haven't bought a new body since the GH1.  this year, I got the both the E-M5 and the D800.  there are many that are deserving of "best of" but to me, the D800 came out on top this year.
