K-30 firmware update, is it worth it?

Has anyone updated their K-30 firmware?

I've completed plenty of firmware updates in computing over the years although I am always a little apprehensive as if it fails the camera is dead and needs resurrected at cost and downtime!

Is the update worth it?

Pentax state the following:

-30 Firmware V1.01
• Improved performance of contrast AF
• Improved stability for general performance.
