I am even more surprised that 55% of votes (when writing this) are given to FF cameras, considering according to this forum FF cameras are seeming so large that they are completely unusable and always at home. Also 55% is quite good seeing that according to this forum they are of format that is dying off.
so here lies the answer to your question. Having a more compact is not considered to be better. Rx100 is more compact than m43 and in polls doing worse. FF are no compacts compared to smaller sensor cameras and doing the best over all. Contrary to what this forum dwellers staunchly believe.
With regards to the D800 vs the OMD I sorta fail to see the argument. Unless you prefer en EVF is the OMD better in any way except for size? They are not competing products in the slightest so it seems like a sorta foolish comparison but meh.
