Confused about ISO on A99 vs. D800 in Aperture Priority Mode?

It could be that the Auto ISO setting was set with a max limit. So, the A99 either didn't have a max imposed, or it was set to a higher max than the D800. If it were that dark in the room, the camera would have picked a shutter speed fast enough, but would likely have used the max ISO set to avoid using a shutter speed too low. Not sure if this is what it was, but it could have been. What I do is go online and download the user manual for each camera you want to look at. Give them a quick read and at least then you'll have an idea of how to change things when you get to the store. You can even download it to your smartphone and do a search of text to find what it is you are looking for. Just my $.02. Good luck.
