The ultimate lens for Disneyland...

... is of course impossible to determine.

It depends so much on who you are, what kind of pictures you take, what skills you have and so on. And yet, the dpreview forums get plenty of questions about what camera gear to bring to Disneyland. There must be something to that question, so let me ask it again, but with a perhaps different twist.

Let's assume the following:

  • You are going to Disneyland to take photos. Not anyone else. You. You may bring other people along as company or models, but you are the one holding the camera, and your skills and style are what count.
  • You are allowed one lens only. It is glued to the camera body by someone in a Big Bad Wolf costume, when you enter the gates, and you are not allowed to remove it until you leave.
  • There is no limit in budget. You can take any lens you want at any price.

The questions are: Which lens would you take? And above all, why would you choose that lens?

So what would it be? Some super-zoom to catch as much of the place as possible? A portrait lens to take photos of your friends with Minnie Mouse? Some fast prime to take indoor shots? Perhaps a macro-lens to take close ups of plants in Adventureland? Something else? And most important of all:

Why?
