I do think we are all a little (or very much) spoiled.  All I have to do is recall the struggle wet color darkroom printing was and think about how easy and excellent inkjet printing is to appreciate the modern era.

I agree people are too critical about many digital camera shortcomings but they also miss areas that are important to me.  Specifically, I would like to see (and have recently experienced) improvements to the DSLR view finders to bring them up to those of the film era.  Also, film cameras were more compact than today's DSLR.

On the whole, however, we have never had it so good.
