D3200 sensor too hi-res for kit lenses?

The D3200 comes with a 24MP sensor.
That is very high resolution for an entry level DSLR.
Do any owners feel that they need quality glass to make use of so many pixels?
I read somewhere that the kit lenses may not have the quality to transmit enough detail to make use of such a hi-res sensor and are not a good match for the body from that point of view.
Just thinking about a D3200 kit at the moment as they are quite cheap but might be worth getting body only and better glass.
