Epson 3490 Photo and Epson V600

I've been using the 3490 for a number of years.  It does not use LED for lighting so warm up is slow.

I'm reasonably happy with the results as for my purposes I just want to digitize my slides and not print.

Came across the V600 and am wondering if it would provide advantages in image quality and processing over the 3490.  The ability to do four slides in the V600 is nice as the 3490 just does three, however time is not an issue.
