That's not Apple update OP is talking about I think. Adobe has its own 'update' agancy installed that checks for its own products (I guess Flash player and PS and others all use the same). Simply zip it in its own place and delete the other one. You can unzip it occationally to let it do its job. I'm at work and can't help you with its exact location but if you didn't find it I check back later at home.
