There were so many good and decent people murdered for being labeled "burgeoise", that I would avoid this hateful label in casual speech. Even when quoting metaphores of those great artists of 20th century.

It's like using the word "judeobolshevism" lightly. One does not do it.

I'm sorry, but I have NEVER heard anyone make this claim. Must we also stop using the related German terms, "Bürger" and "bürgerlich"? By the way, "burgeoise" is not the correct spelling. It's either "bourgeois" or "bourgeoisie," depending on whether you want the adjective or noun.

It's a legitimate word in the French language. It was not invented by Marxists, and I think it's overly extreme to expect it to be wiped from all lexicons because the Marxists chose to use it.
