Possible BIG problem 16-50 with Nex 6!

The AF is finding and attempting to lock on to the point the flexible focus point is centered upon, but the mechanism (and firmware) that controls the lens elements adjusts them to an improper position to achieve focus. But when we adjust the elements ourselves, we are not at the mercy of that improperly calibrated or poorly designed mechanism.
