Ws is a measurement of power delivered from a capacitor to a flash tube. For a better reference of light output, BCPS (Basic Candle Power Seconds) is the amount of light produce by the flash tube. Wonder what the photographers in the 1800's used as a measure of light output for their black powder flash guns?
