- The A99 sensor is twice the area of the aps-c sensor!
- The lower end NEX 5N also might do a lot more noise reduction on-sensor!
- Also, what about Your raw converter settings?
- Or talking about jpg files?
What are you comparing? Total sensor area or pixel by pixel? Also, are you comparing fully processed files? Default raw converter settings will fool most users.
Nord, read his post again...: "Talking high iso jpgs". He is perfectly correct with his observation, many full-frame camera's don't have an overly good jpg engine, while the NEX 5N has an excellent one. I think his post was rather clear, followed by a 100% crop for evidence, so I guess you can stop Lol now...
