For street photography I would pick the X-E1 over the X-Pro1 for the following reason

Smaller and more discrete, no OVF window on the front so again more discrete, no chance of sun light reflecting off of the OVF and attracting attention.

Is your full time job a sniper? I doubt a small patch of OVF glass (in the average street) would draw attention, even if a supernova illuminated it. Plus, a human figure holding a box shaped object to their face is NOT gonna attract attention at all ...?

black woolly hat, black gloves, black jacket, small black camera, you'd be surprised how discrete I can be, I am a full time sniper in call of duty if that helps

(Unless you are lying hidden in a luxuriant flower-bed in your sniper camo gear of course ... in which scenario I can understand your grief at this 'error'....)

hum there's an idea

Both cameras produce the same image quality but isn't the point of this type of camera to make it as compact and light weight as possible?, the X-E1 does that better than the X-Pro1.

I'm not sure Fuji set out to make the lightest or smallest camera in class ... if this is important to you, a small P&S style body is better suited to this task. The latest Sony R models spring to mind ...

I think you'll find Fuji did just that, the Sony R has no viewfinder built in.
