Guns vs Nuclear Weapons.....Oh the hypocrisy....

So to all the NRA supporters and gun lovers out there, here's an interesting thought for you. By your own logic you don't think it's acceptable for other nations to have Nuclear weapons, even though you have them yourselves. This would be because you fear that some other nations might use them against the USA. However, you do think it's a good idea for everyone in the USA to possess firearms because a 300 year old law was passed which you couldn't possibly change. So let me get this straight, you're opposed to other countries being able to protect themselves but you don't mind your own citizens having that right, based on the principle that if two people have a gun each, neither will fire on each other. So why aren't you distributing nuclear weapons to any country that wants them so that an international equilibrium can be maintained? Surely if everyone had nuclear weapons then no-one would use them?
I'm also confused as to why it isn't possible to change your constitution (which after all are just words written on a piece of paper) but you were able to deliver two nuclear weapons, thousands of miles away and wipe two cities out? Could it be because one of them was something that you wanted to do and the other you really don't?
I guess the other thing is that Nuclear weapons don't kill people, people do? I suppose if people didn't use Nuclear weapons they'd use something else, like guns? You can kill an awful lot of people with guns so you might as well let other countries have Nuclear weapons instead, the result would be the same wouldn't it? Have I missed anything?

Oh and by the way, this isn't about whether you have guns or not, that's clearly your choice, it's about the "logic" used to justify gun ownership.
