I have X-pro1 and I don't understand what you mean by "The finder changes to EVF from OVF after every shot" . The only way to change between OVF and EVF is to use the button on the front side of the camera. You must have tried a faulty camera.

And turning off picture review can easily be done in the menus. I have turned it of to save battery life.

I knew how to turn it off. I just didn't want to do it. My point is OVF and final image is very different, and after I shot with OVF, I had a tendency to start thinking if I should have done with EVF or not. As I said, it not the camera's problem, it's me, and I recommend X-Pro1 to OP.

Ok, got it

Anyway, I find that I use the EVF more and more lately because I want to compose more accurate.  Hearing that EVF is better on the XE-1 I've begun thinking about picking one up. Still, I think the EVF on the X-pro1 is not that bad. So I guess I'll wait for the second generation of these cameras before making a switch, and stay with my X-pro1 for now.
