Solving a problem I didn't have

I just spent two hours trying to make A77 update 1.06 work on my Mac, without realising that it is now a 64 bit application. I thought it was still 32 bit and was frustrated because Mountain Lion will not run in 32 bit mode as did previous versions of OSX. I don't know if this is useful to anyone else or whether I was just a bit dim.
