28mm F1.8G - suffers from stop down focus shift?
Dec 20, 2012

I'm looking at getting the 28mm F1.8G, but I'm surprised by this review:

http://www.cameralabs.com/reviews/Nikon_Nikkor_AF-S_28mm_f1-8G/

He says, when stoping down the lens, the focus shifts, i.e. the camera focuses at f1.8, but then the focus shifts when the camera stops down the aperture to shoot at say F4 or F5.6.Thus you get back focused images, and even this can't be solved with the AF-Fine-Tune because it moves a different amount for different apertures.

Did he have a bad sample, or is this problem repeatable on other copies?

Roland.
