Epson 7890 clogging?

It seems that all I read about when researching this printer is the LLK head clogging.  Has this been resolved by Epson?  I just booked a large show next year and I would like to move up from my 3880, which never clogs.  I shoot with Canon gear but I've never thought much about their pro printers.  Should I consider switching to a Canon printer or is the 7890 issue over blown?  Thanks.
