Two sides of the BIF discussion are:

Contrast AF vs Phase Detect AF

This is why the M43 isn't as good as an inexpensive DSLR for BIF.

Stationary animals, people, cars, etc. it does not matter, but if they are moving fast and having a high keeper rate matters, then get the tool that fits the assignment, Phase Detect AF.

Under the right circumstances the M43 is Ok, but shooting BIF/ planes generally means the AF system needs to find and hold a subject against a solid blue background. Very low contrast which is a significant challenge for the M43 AF system, thus not the best tool. The sensor and lens are all capable IF the AF system can find and hold the subject.
