People wants the fine detail in their images, and the simply EXR does not deliver in that regard. EXR is good for the niche that demand another stop of DR, and the DR advantage diminishes if you shoot raw in these cameras.

I don't know about the XF1, but if the X10 has a conventional 2/3'' sensor with that excellent manual zoom lens and viewfinder, I am sure it will get tops marks. I would pick a X10 with a
"normal" sensor over the G15 or the XZ-2 any day.

You sound so certain when writing about you knowing what "people wants".

Well, yes, resolution is nice to have. But frankly: DR (ie shadow details) is at least as important for people with half-decent visual perception.
