All my lenses just doubled in length ....

No, not in video mode.

It is a still-picture option only - it takes processing time.

It is in the camera settings menu. Search for Zoom.

When activated, you get a slider, using the scroll wheel, to set the amount you desire.

In the general settings menu you have to enable either Clear Image Zoom, Digital Zoom, or both.

It works with all lenses.

The new PZ lenses will automatically enter the CIZ and DZ ranges.

For other lenses, you have to activate it in the camera menu first.
