They seem to clearly be listening to customers complaints. You can see that on the "disable video button" feature on the nex-7 update. The nex-6 has a different button alltogether.

But this is more a bug fix than a new feature.

They don't seem to like to give new features to old bodies for free. So I don't think the nex-7 for example willl learn a lot of new tricks.

The app store on the new bodies changes this. Feature updates will appear as apps. You give Sony a few bucks and get a feature, or you don't. I think this is the way it will work from now and this is perfectly fine with me.
