I think the call verification idea in some form is already out there and in common use by credit card companies. Last time I ordered from RRS I got a call almost immediately after hitting purchase button to verify if the purchase from an area outside my usual purchase area/pattern was legitimate. You also see this when ordering a delivery to other than home address. Sounds like this scam bypasses the bank people and targets the retailer.
You may need to fight with Bank of America, Citibank, and Barclays for your share of the proceeds for this idea!!
