Exposure Bracketing With K-30

I was playing with bracketing tonight and noticed that when I adjusted the -/+ exposure adjusments, the display shows up to +/- 5 but I can only adjust via e-dial to +/- 3 and it will go no farther. Seems strange that they will show the display up to 5 when your limit is 3 or maybe there is something that I am missing.
