I just love the a57

About a month ago, I got invited for a wedding of a friend of mine. I never go without my camera and also we had an un-spoken agreement that I would shoot. His dad was shooting with a Nikon D800, some other relative was shooting with a gigantic medium format film camera, and another friend was shooting video with his p&s-looking camera (his Canon D60 was out of order at the time). Well, the dad was busy with other duties (after all, his son was getting married - for crying out loud), the film camera was slow, and the p&s for video ran out of battery halfway through the event.

So I was it! I had absolutely nothing to complain about. The EVF was totally fine even outdoors in bright sunlight, I captured a few short videos as well as a few hundred stills. No problem with storage or battery.

Their main, framed photo was selected to be one of mine. Today, the groom came to an said: "Dude, you have some awesome camera! Your videos rock! They are sharp and huge, and the AF is great!"

This is when he also got some shots from a D800.

Then I had some show at my company, dancing, stage performance, etc. and I've always been lurking around our photo/video team, they always take my work. They use 2x Nikon D800 with Pocket wizards, a D300s with pocket wizard, all with an SB900 flash, and some pro, high-end sony stuff for video.

We are very good friends too, but sometimes tease each other Anyways, one of the D800 guy (who personally owns a D7000) told me today "Dude, we love your work".

So, I couldn't be happier with my hobby and with my choice of camera.
