This is a serious question, because I've seen the comment above posted by more than 1 person... whether one is looking at the shutter speed on a dial or viewing it on a screen or through the EVF, the eyes still have to look at something to see the setting, so what is the difference?

Good point. If I honestly were to ask myself what I would prefer and why, i'd say I would prefer a shutter speed dial on the Rx1 like the Fuji X100. Why? Because a shutter speed dial signifies and is perceived to be, something you get on 'serious' cameras. Its a purely emotional level thing for me. Not rational. Design is not just function, but feeling. And feelings are complex!
