This Is Amazing!

It's not often I get excited about a new camera, I worked as a pro with the best gear available for many years.  But today my Panasonic GH3 arrived from Germany.

The first thing I did was bung the battery on charge and download the iPad app for my pad and the Android app for my phone.

Opened up the pad, fired up the app. Camera screen shows 'enter this password on the app'. Go to iPad settings and enter password. Tick comes up, camera and iPad connected. Go back to Lumix app.........and blimey!......there is my viewfinder on the iPad screen, crisp, sharp, beautiful colours. Try out controls. It all works!

Now for the Samsung phone.....ditto! I don't think I have ever used the word before but honestly, this is awesome 

The camera feels great, perfect size for my hands and the 12-35 and 35-100 zooms feel like they were made for it. The camera feels like my old Nikon Fs did, professional and workmanlike.

I'll find out what I don't like in good time, I'm sure, but at the moment it's the first M43 that feels like it was made for me personally.

I paid for €1259 for it, £1007 and it feels a bargain at the moment!
