Assault Weapons
Dec 18, 2012

Assault weapon is a media coined term. It has no real meaning. It gets warped and twisted to fit the topic of the day. Many liberals describe it as fully auto, which would make it a military only weapon, which is not availabe to the general public.

The liberal media characterizes the AR 15 as a canon. In reality, the bullets are smaller than most other military and hunting guns. They even lie about its usefulness as a varmint rifle. BTW - look up a mini 14, ranch rifle. It uses the same ammo and clips as the AR15. It also is similar in size, weight, and rate of fire. The real difference is in the looks of the fire arm.

The issue is the culture of destruction amongst younger Ameerican  males. Sweeping it under the rug as a gun issue does not solve the problem. If we look at gun homicide,s where they really do occur, the US inner city is almost a war zone. DC has 16 per 100,000. There are more than 40 homicides per month in Chicago. OTOH - The rural america gun homicide rate 0.8 per 100,000, when this data is pulled out. DC has a household gun ownership rate of about 3%. Rural America is over 60% depending on the source.
