OM-D in the studio. Flash-sync problem.

Today I tried my brand new OM-D with studio strobes for the first time. The manual says that the OM-D can sync upto 1/250. But I was not able to sync faster than 1/160. When I tried faster shutter speed, I got half frames.
The studio strobes were triggered by a wireless radio triggers. I am very puzzled by this. I was shooting in manual mode. Can anybody here help me solve this puzzle?
