What would you choose...the Sony A57 or A65? and why?

I am shopping for my first DSLR but I am a quick learner and want to get a great camera I will be able to love in AUTO now and still love as my knowledge grows.

The Sony A57 has great reviews here, as does the A65. The Sony A57 is only 16M and the A65 is 24M but has "issues" in high ISO.

What advice would you give me before i spend basically $1k on whichever one I choose, and why?
