Should I buy a D7100 or a D700? (Caution - lengthy)

NO thanks! But the D-700 is a sweet machine.  I  bought one brand new in June and sent it back because I thought my D-300 would be all I needed.  But then I got a deal I coudln't pass up on a 5,000 click  D-700 and bought another one!  Sending you a pm I found yesterday.
