What has happened to linked Gallery Photos?

I'm hosting a Mini-Challenge in the Canon Forum and have just discovered that I can no longer enlarge embedded photos from DPReview galleries, nor can go to the users' gallery pages by clicking the 'view gallery page' link.
Some photos embedded from other sites that have 'view original size' underneath now enlarge to fit screen and have new features including a loupe, so obviously there have been some recent changes.
Strange thing is I can find no mention of these changes anywhere, and nobody else appears to be having any problems with them.
