Hi all,

What's your vote for the most unique m43 lens? I'll keep this intentionally vague, but factors to consider should include:

1. Produces distinct results in comparison to other m43 lenses.

2. Results are unique compared to a larger-sensor camera (i.e. size and weight of the 45/1.8 and 75/1.8 make them contenders).

I can't believe people haven't mentioned the Tokina 300/6.3 yet. I think some mistook this for a "lenses you like" thread. I do admit I like at least the idea of this lens myself though.

This lens:

  • Contains two mirrors
  • Is new, unlike all others of its type
  • Has 2:1 image magnification
  • Is smaller than the 12-35 in both dimensions despite being a supertele
  • Weighs less than 1g/mm of focal length (beat that!)
  • Has the best sample image on four-thirds.org
  • Produces boke which makes all the high image quality fans/losers with zero artistic talent run for the hills (good riddance!)

Basically there are likely many "better" lenses in this system but I'd argue no other lens is as interesting.
