You just need a true 10 bit IPS panel

yes, you can go for an Eizo, truly excellent screens, but let's be realistic; images on the net are sRGB and in 8 bit. a 10 bit monitor will encapsulate sRGB and mostly cover Adobe RGB. None will cover Pro Photo 100%.
So, your quality minimum should be a 10 bit panel

£1000 NEC Spectraview 271 27"
I have the DELL and it's excellent. In point of fact, when calibrated, it has better colorspace coverage than Apple's lauded 27" thunderbolt display.
