EPSON R3000 PRINTER

I have just taken delivery of a brand new Epson R3000 inkjet printer. It's easy to set and get working, but I'm finding banding in many test prints. I'm doing everything possible to eliminate it, but it persists, although often only noticeable in bright light and on close examination. I never had that problem with my old 21000. Any ideas to help would be appreciated before I contact the manufacturer in the new year. It's disappointing.
