V1 and FT1 with 70-300 or Olympus EPL1 with Pan. 100-300?

I'd like to get a setup for long reach purposes for nature hikes.  I could get a Panasonic 100-300 for my EPL1, or a Nikon V1 and FT1 adapter for my Nikon 70-300.  Anyone have any opinions regarding which would result in better image quality or better handling?
