I don't have the issues that others have with KR...his site can actually be very useful, but he does tend to be opinionated at times.

With that said, as a working pro I would be dead without my 24-70.  This lens is fast, sharp and extremely versatile.  It is also big and heavy and not always the best choice for everyone, especially if you are relatively new to photography.

In the end, you choose what is right for you, not what KR thinks, not what Thom Hogan thinks, not what anyone on this forum thinks...the best way to grow as a photographer is to learn (and, yes, make mistakes) on your own...
