Weather Sealed Bodies - no weather sealed lenses!

You name it, Nikons D7000, Olympus OM-E5, Sony's A77 - all weather sealed but with a frustrating lack of weather sealed lenses.

Do you think that, in the case of Nikon and Canon especially, they are aware of the demand of weather sealing being predominantly from the full frame market and therefore only really provide the pro lens range?

I am considering the D7000, among other things, but I'm struggling right now because it seems there are few weather sealed lenses to match it!
