SMC Takumar 85mm f1.8 portraits...

Wow. Recently picked up one of these very highly rated M42 lenses for use on my Nex 7, and can't say I'm disappointed. Still learning the lens, but took these pictures of my daughter in our basement last night... f1.8, ISO 1250, 1/200sec... just basic overhead pot lighting, and a DoF of about 2mm this close:-) Not the easiest subject to use, but more fun than a sleeping cat or a stuffed toy:-)

I find it very acceptably sharp wide open, and bright enough to capture these kinds of pictures in far from ideal lighting conditions.  I am looking forward to taking this on a real photo shoot later this week. Anyone else using this lens on a NEX?
