My first hummingbirds - for feedback

I recently had the opportunity to shoot hummingbirds for the fiirst time and I'd like to share the four I like best for feedback on post-processing and for doing better next time.

Although they are a bit noisy and motion isn't perfectly frozen, I personally am quite happy with these, considering that

- it was my first shot at hummingbirds

- I was shooting on a rainy day with less than optimal equipment: D5000 wit Nikkor 70-30mm VR and onboard flash only

- I had to raise ISO to achieve fast enough shutter speeds

- PP was done first with the OOC Jpegs on a netbook with Picasa, and once back home as another try on my HP Probook with View NX and external display, none of them calibrated

- they are heavy crops as these buggers are small, and the feeders they were drawn to ugly.

Here they are, Picasa version first, followed by the version processed from the NEF file in View NX, and the link to the original NEF file.

The feedback I am most interested in is:

1. How do these look on your screens?

2. What could I have done better with the listed equipment?

3. How can I get more out of them in PP?

Thanks for reading, watching and any constructive feedback.
