Currently Canon has IMHO best setup for architecture - in fact it's the TS-E 17 and 24 II lenses that make the Canon toolchain look that good - lesser the sensor - but the sensor is anyhow overrated IMHO

Thanks, Joger. It doesn't look like yor're changing the perspective either, so the softness of the 14-24 would be intensified by the software based perspective change. Does the 17 get softer with a perspective change?

I thought the 11mm trick was a stitch of 2 frames, but it is four? Do you use PS for your stitch? Can the stitched image be perspective corrected also?

It is going to be interesting to learn all about this lens. Do you recommend any articles or other reading on its use?

I use PS for that and I do not alter the perspective it is straight as it would have been out of a camera with a bigger sensor

joger, is PS as good as PTGui (that I used) in photo stitching? I tried in PS but I have some difficulties to get as good results as PTGui, maybe I don't know how to use it well.

Use reposition in PS and not automatic - then it is recombined as a kind of puzzle - no altering of any pixel - very basic function - impossible that PTGui gives better results since the four frames fit perfectly together

I tried all different options in PS but still feel it's not as smart or as easy as PTGui.  I don't mean in IQ of course.  So far I did most pano photos from hand-held photos usually on two or three rows of photos from left to right from top to bottom.  A few times PS failed to understand the overlapping parts but PTGui has no problem with its excellent control points.  I need to study the feature more in PS.  I'd love to use PS if it has the same functions as PTGui in photo stitching as PS uses the same ACR as in LR and should process CR2 better than PTGui (to convert to TIFF and then upload into LR/PS for further processing).
