Should I buy a D7100 or a D700? (Caution - lengthy)

Hi Marvin! I've seen some of your work in the Nikon forum.  The D-700 is really good at low light for the price.  I have the D-700 and the D-300 as you had.  They both should do a good job in what you are seeking.  But in reading here and the Sports section of FM gives you a whole new perspective on this.  I suggest you visit FM and see what they are doing over there before you make your decision.  You may up your thoughts a bit and seek a used D-3(s) or maybe even the D-600.  But I think you may also want to wait and see if the mysterious D-400 appears soon!  Good luck and sooner or later maybe I'll have something to post here or in the Nikon forum.  I don't think I'm ready for FM yet.
