As promised, here's the third part: Ávila. Ávila is well know in Spain for its 5 kilometers long, perfectly preserved citywalls from middle ages. The citywalls never saw any action, but it's hard to walk along them without letting your imagination run free :-). Anyway, the Cathedral was a real surprise for me as it's not particularly famous, but I found their use of pink stone quite compelling.
I forgot to mention Ávila is also famous for its gastronomy, but to appreciate that, you should pay a visit first
